It was an exceptionally unforgettable event with his esteemed presence of Rev. Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostum Mar Thoma Valiya Metropolitan, who handed over the funds of our ‘May appeal’ on 28.06.14 at Kozhencherry in Kerala, with the assistance of Y’smen club. A total amount of £ 15094.00 were collected from this appeal run from 25th May to 7th June out of which an amount of £ 8273.61 through BMCF bank a/c and £ 6821.31 via virgin money. Cancer patients such as Thomas Mathew from Mylappra, Pathanamthitta and Jalaja from Mannuthi, Thrissur were able to receive an amount of Rs. 3.25 lakhs each and the same amount was also given to Shaji from Pattithanam, Ettumanoor for his kidney treatment. It was a long dream of Sridevi from Parampuzha, Kottayam to have her own house and the same was materialised with the help of our Rs. 3.25 lakhs. However, an 11 year boy Nikhil, a heart patient got an amount of Rs. 2 lakhs in order to enable him to purchase a pace maker equipment for his heart condition.
Kozhencherry grama panchayat members Bijili Easo and Anoop Unnikrishnan, Ysmen district governor Roy Nellikkala, BMCFs trustee Sam Thiruvathilil, British malyali editor Shajan Scaria were also present during the function.
