‘Kidney appeal’
‘Kidney appeal’ was one of the vast, successful appeal run by ‘British Malayali’ for a full month of February 2013 requesting the readers and supporters for generous help by presenting & explaining the ordeal of seven kidney patients. There was an enormous feedback from the public by donating around £ 27774.00 (equal to Rs. 23 lakhs) and Rs. 4.5 lakhs each were given to Rintu- Kottayam and Naneethu-Kulanadu, Pathanamthitta. Whereas Vipin-Thrissur and Sajikumar from Kollam received each an amount of Rs. 3.5 lakhs. When Ajeesh-Kaduthuruthi got Rs.3 lakhs, Rakesh Babu from Malappuram availed rs. 2.5 lakhs. Joy from Erattupetta was the receipient of Rs. 1 lakh. The fianance minister of Kerala, Shri. K.M Mani distributed the funds at Thiruvananthapuram on 3.4.13
