Untitled-1The Christmas and New Year Appeal, which ended on 15 th January 2019 with a total fund of £ 8231.50 raised both through virginmoneygiving
link and foundation’s bank a/c. The trustees decided to add another £ 18.50 from general fund to make the total to £ 8250.00. While an amount
of £ 7862.50 collected including gift aid through virginmoneygiving link, an amount of £ 597.00 received directly into charity’s bank a/c. After
deducting virginmoney’s 3.5% commission amount of £ 228.00 and added £ 18.50 from general fund, the total amount of £ 8250.00 set aside to give the seven families in Kerala, India whose stories featured in ‘British Malayali’ online news paper in relation to the appeal. An amount of £ 6517.00 donated to the virginmoneylink by the readers/supporters of charity and the 25% of the gift aid enhanced to the total amount of £ 7862.50

The trustees have also decided to distribute the fund equally to seven families except to Jessy Josekutty from Kattappana in Idukki as they will be receiving £750.00. Whereas the rest of six families will receive £ 1250.00 each and this distribution amount reached on the basis of the severity of their diseases and also based on the overall financial situation of their family. Ouseph Lucka (Binoy) from Thalayolaparambu in Kottayam district of Kerala will get £ 1250.00 wherein a Parish priest will be donating one of his kidneys to him. Mrs. Jessy Josekutty from Vellayamkudy in Idukki district, who suffer from breast cancer will receive £ 750.00.

Manoj Joseph, 39 years young man from Onamthuruth in Kottayam district, George Thomas from Chemberi in Kannur district, 30 years old Neethu Sajith from Angamaly in Ernakulam district, 48 years Eldho from Wayanadu and four years old Sreeranjini from Kalavur in Alappbuzha district are the other families, who will be receiving £ 1250.00 each from the appeal.
