The Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Huntingdon on Friday 8th April 2016 elected new executive committee and office bearers for the year 2016-17.   A Well  known personality amongst U.K malayalees and a media person from Woking Mr. Tomichen Kozhuvanal will lead the team as Chairman and  as a skilled organiser to run the day to day affairs of charity,  Mr. Cimy George from Croydon has been elected as new Secretary.  A professional touch has been gained to the post of Treasurer as a Home Manager from Bolton, Mrs. Shinu Claire Matthews will look after the finance & accounts.  As a very familiar face and much respected from the community, Mr. K.D Shajimon from Manchester has taken over as Vice Chairman from Mr. Sony Chacko (Manchester), who held the same post during last year and will continue to be as a trustee for this year also. In the meantime, there are two new faces on the board as trustees in the place of two vacant positions of Mr. Manoj Mathew & Mr. Siby Thomas, who stepped down during the AGM.  They are Mr. George Edathuva Kattampally from Leicester and Mr. Siby Meprathu from Southampton.

newtrustees The AGM thanked  outgoing Chairman, Mr. Francis Antony & Secretary, Sabu Chundakattil for their hard work and leadership during the previous year and they will continue to be the executive committee members this year also. Mr. Shaji Lukose from Belfast has been elected as Jt. Secretary.   Apart from the above, Sam Thiruvathilil (Basingstoke), K.R Shaijumon (Coventry) & Shajan Skariah (Kerala) also will be on the board of trust as trustees.

The above team of 13 trustees will plan ,manage and co-ordinate all the future activities for the current year.  The responsibilities and duties of new executive committee has been divided as follows:

Mr. Francis & Shajimon were entrusted to look after the possibilities of helping the student nurses, who are struggling to cope with their further studies due to the financial difficulties. They will also look for the prospective sponsors for such kind of students.   Mr. Tomichen will arrange to  coordinate with trustees about the enquiries/investigations about the applicants before finalisation of each application. The arrangement for the fund hand over will be done by Mr. Shajan Skariah.  Trustees also thanked Mrs. Shinu Matthews for her initiative and effort in arranging the Christmas Appeal 2015 hand over by Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala, Mr. Oommen Chandy. The AGM began with the welcome speech by Mr. Francis Antony and the report & accounts were presented by Mr. Sabu Chundakattil. The meeting reviewed the report in detail and same was approved along with a detailed discussion about the future appeals and projects.
